Pheromone for red palm weevils
Rhylure is an aggregation pheromone for the Rhyncophorus ferrugineus (red palm weevil). It comes in small plastic slow-release bags. It is used throughout the world for the monitoring and mass trapping of these insects. Rhylure is a pheromone dispenser that is used inside traps to quickly determine if palm trees are infested by red palm weevils and consequently take the necessary measures to limit the infestation and the development of this insect.
